Our packing do's and don't to make sure your move goes as smoothly as possible.
✅ How to Pack | ❌ What to Avoid |
Use sturdy boxes and make sure the lid closes fully ![]() | Overfill boxes — if the lid won't close, it won't stack and it's more likely to break ![]() |
Pack items into proper boxes or containers which can be stacked ![]() | Rely on soft, unstructured bags, creates or baskets. They're hard to stack and easy to crush. ![]() |
Cover fragile times including art in bubble wrap. ![]() | Leave anything fragile loose, outside a box or bag |
Store packed boxes in the garage — it's usually out of the way and works well as a loading zone | Block hallways and thoroughfares with packed boxes — we need access to every room throughout the day |
Clearly label what you're taking yourself vs. what we're moving | Wait until pickup day to sort valuables. |
Not sure where to start? We're happy to help!
